With over 17 years of International exposure in Investments and Operations in diverse Industries, Basem developed a solid experience advising on strategic growth opportunities across the region. He participated in raising capital, setting up JVs, developing and executing deals in the Education, Healthcare, Oil and Gas, and Food sectors, with a track record in real estate. Within his regional roles, Mr. Abu Dagga developed many exclusive relationships with High Net Worth individuals and investment institutions building a direct access to an impressive high profile network across the MENA region.
Basem's strong technical background stemming from his Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical engineering, coupled with his strong background in Strategy and Finance acquired through his Master's degree in Business Administration (from London Business School), has refined his understanding of the regional market dynamics, and expanded his acute understanding of the key growth factors for successful businesses enabling him to launch several Operations in the MENA region, successfully building and leading cross functional teams, creating growth strategies and implementing day to day activities.
Within his expertise, Basem has worked in several franchising roles before across the region, and is familiar with value creation through the establishment of brands and systems.
In 2013 Together with two very well respected individuals established The Learning Curve Holdings which took on the exclusive rights to Maple Bear in the UAE and the Region.
Mr. Abu Dagga is fluent in Arabic, and English and is a Canadian national that is passionate about the environment and creating value. When he's not creating value, Basem is a Certified Master Scuba Diver Trainer, that enjoys exploring the underwater world.
Who we are?
Learning Curve Holdings, our new partner in the UAE, has a long history of leadership in the education sector in the Gulf region. Founder and Executive Director Basem Abu Dagga's late Grandfather was one of the first four teachers to come to the region in the early 1930's. His mother continued the legacy by actively building the foundation of teaching in Kuwait. Basem himself received an excellent education and in turn, was inspired and determined to deliver quality educational programs to children in the region.
